Nehru Shiksha Prasarak Samiti
Dr. Rajesh Nigam was born on 2nd October 1967 in Village Bamangaon, Tehsil Nainwa, District Bundi, Rajasthan. He is the son of Shri Pratap Narayan Nigam, a devoted primary school teacher, and Smt. Kamla Devi Nigam, a caring homemaker who instilled in him the values of discipline, humility, and service.
Dr. Nigam began his educational journey at the Government School, Bamangaon, where he completed his primary and middle education up to Class 8 in 1980. He later pursued his higher studies in commerce at K.D. Jain Higher Secondary School, Kishangarh (Ajmer). Continuing his academic pursuit, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree from Government Commerce College, Kota, followed by Master’s degrees in Political Science and Public Administration from M.D.S. University, Ajmer.
In 2007, Dr. Nigam was awarded a Ph.D. in Political Science from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra (U.P.), for his extensive research on “Political Development in Rajasthan after the 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments, with special reference to the Nainwa and K. Patan Tehsils of Bundi District.”
Dr. Nigam began his professional career as a school teacher (1992–1995) and later contributed to the Lok Jumbish Project (1996–1997)—a major educational reform movement in Rajasthan. Since 1998, he has been associated with Rajasthan Vidyapeeth Women’s University, where he served with dedication as an Administrative Officer, contributing significantly to academic growth, student development, and institutional administration until 2025.
In his personal life, Dr. Nigam married Smt. Vandana Nigam on 17th March 1991, and together they have built a life founded on mutual respect, strong family values, and service to society.
Beyond his academic achievements, Dr. Nigam shares a cherished friendship with Shri Vimal Ji Patni, the renowned founder of the RK Marble Group and Graphite, dating back to their school days in commerce classes at K.D. Jain School. In recent years, Dr. Nigam has also diversified his interests toward agriculture and entrepreneurship, establishing a petrol pump in 2025, reflecting his progressive mindset and commitment to community development.
